2023 Thrive Grant Seeker Info Session – New Grant Opportunities Announced

The Cobb Community Foundation held a Grant Seeker Info Session yesterday in the Community Room at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Eighty plus local nonprofit leaders attended the session in person to hear new funding opportunities.

Consistent with our vision, Cobb Community Foundation is working to create a community fully engaged in meeting needs now and into the future. We want everyone in and around Cobb County to thrive, and that requires strong and supported nonprofits.

The 2023 CCF Thrive Grant Program has been developed this year from feedback received over the past year from our leadership and from nonprofits. There are 3 components to the program which we will outline below.

1) Cobb Thrives Gift Guide – A 24-page gift registry for nonprofits profiling their community impact and showcasing 3 specific funding requests that will support the operational and programmatic needs of 30 local nonprofits to be distributed through our partners including: Marietta Daily Journal, Brasfield Gorrie, Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s Marqee Monday,  Pinacle Financial Partners, dk Gallery, LOUD Security Systems, Indian Hills Country Club,  Cobb Bar Association, Outfront Media, Mableton Improvement Coalition.

2) Certified Nonprofit Practitioner (CNP) Grant – This nationally recognized, unique credential will be offered to 5 nonprofit leaders through a custom program adminstered through Kennesaw State University.

3) Strategic Grants – The remainder of our grant pool is targeted for initiatives that achieve strategic goals set by the leadership of Cobb Community Foundation.
