A big part of our mission is connecting donors who care with causes that matter. One way we do this is by inviting CCF fundholders and friends to meet some impactful nonprofit organizations through quarterly Nonprofits Making a Difference Bus Tours.
On March 24, 2023, we visited the Tommy Nobis Center, Aviation & History Technology Center, and Tillman Resource Center. We also heard from Blue Thanksgiving, Destiny’s Daughters of Promise, and Advocates for Children’s while riding the bus. It was a great day of learning about our community together. Thought you already knew the area nonprofits? Think again. The most common response at the end of our tours from riders on the bus has been, “Thank you! We had no idea these needs existed in our community, and all the services being offered to meet these needs.” Our participants have learned in just a few hours on the bus what would take a great deal of commitment to find out on your own.
