We had more than 40 applications submitted for the inaugural round of our CCF Thrive Grants. To better the chances for programs that applied, we held 3 separate information sessions in 3 locations around Cobb County. We reviewed every question on the grant application and explained what the selection committee would be looking for at these well-attended sessions. The competition was tough, and while we granted the maximum amount of dollars available, there were many more organizations worthy of support than we could help on this first effort.
