A TAIL-WAGGING WELCOME TO THE MOSTLY MUTTS FUND!

Tammy Turley was introduced to Mostly Mutts in 2010 when she agreed to foster in her words “a real hard luck case” called Diva, a blind and deaf senior poodle recently rescued from a shelter. Though the dog’s condition was concerning, Tammy saw potential and was moved to give this dog the best shot at a better life. With her determination and a lot of TLC, Diva’s condition turned around. Healthy and happy, she was adopted and lived out the rest of her life in a new ‘furever’ home. Seeing this transformation and understanding how she made a difference, Tammy was hooked. A few years and many more successful fosters later, Tammy stepped into the role of the Executive Director.

Recently Mostly Mutts created an agency fund with Cobb Community Foundation. With hundreds of volunteers and thousands of dogs and cats saved, Mostly Mutts has become a very important local leader for pet rescue, rehabilitation, and adoptions. In addition to fundraising events, they have also opened a successful re-sale shop. Their professional approach and successful placements have attracted loyal donors who support their continued work in the community. When researching the best way to invest their contributions, a volunteer recommended Cobb Community Foundation. The new fund they have established will help them fund a new spay/neuter clinic, another goal addressing the issue of homeless pets. Additional exposure to donors and administrative assistance with contribution management are other benefits enjoyed by fundholders.
