Barbara Garner

Donor Services Manager

Barbara Garner is dedicated to helping individuals, families and organizations achieve their charitable goals and make a real difference in Cobb County (and well beyond!). Since joining Cobb Community Foundation in 2017, Barbara has helped to steward an engaged community of donors who partner with the Foundation through grantmaking, volunteering, and other investments of time and treasure. In 2021, Barbara received her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation, better positioning her to work with donors and their advisors to maximize the impact of their charitable giving. Barbara has volunteered in numerous roles including Sunday school teacher, robotics coach, yearbook editor and swim team coordinator. While she has always felt that giving back is vitally important, it was during her time of volunteering at local non-profits such as MUST Ministries, Calvary Children’s Home and The Table on Delk that a passion for serving the community was truly sparked.

Barbara and her husband John have been married for over 20 years and live in Cobb County with their sons, Matthew and Patrick. Her family attends North Metro Church in Marietta. A Cobb County resident for over 25 years, Barbara knows there is no better community in which to live, work and give back. Our fundholders and non-profit partners know it too! What a blessing to work with such caring, generous neighbors who make a difference in our community every single day.
