Sherman Scott


Sherman Scott is a Georgia native who returned home with his wife Sharon and their children Desmond, Genesis and Josiah to establish “The Life” Church in Marietta in which he is the lead pastor.

Sherman began his academic career at the University of Columbia. After relocating to the Boston area he completed his course study at the University of Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Religion and Afro-American Studies. He is also a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute where he studied additional courses in Homiletics, Counseling, Youth Leadership and Discipleship. Sherman received his Doctor of Ministry in 2017 from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

Sherman has served as a board member for the Fair Oaks Youth Basketball, Cobb Basketball Association, and currently as a board member for Cobb Community Foundation.
