Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) is proud to announce four outstanding new members joining its Board of Directors, bringing the total number of board members to 28. Effective January 1, 2026, these highly accomplished leaders bring deep expertise across community development, media, education, and healthcare—strengthening CCF’s ability to serve as a catalyst for a thriving Cobb County.
We are incredibly proud to welcome these individuals to our board. Each is not only well-respected in their field, but also deeply committed to the people and future of Cobb County. A diverse board with broad perspectives and lived experience is essential to advancing meaningful, lasting community impact, and this group strongly reflects that vision. We look forward to working closely with them as we continue advancing our mission and upcoming initiatives.
CCF also recently welcomed Susan Tillery as Board Chair, whose leadership will help guide the foundation during this next chapter of growth and community impact. We extend our sincere thanks to Chris Gruehn, Immediate Past Chair, for his dedicated service and steady leadership. His support of CCF’s vision and commitment to strengthening our community played an important role in advancing the foundation’s work and positioning us for continued success.
Meet Our Newest Board Members
Dr. Christopher Boyd, General Manager, Riverside EpiCenter
Dr. Christopher Boyd leads Riverside EpiCenter, a vibrant hub serving youth and families through wellness services, entertainment programming, and event and conference facilities. Built by Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral—where he previously served as Executive Pastor—the EpiCenter reflects his long-standing commitment to community-centered development. An expert in organizational leadership, Dr. Boyd is also an adjunct professor and has served on numerous boards. His work in workforce development, neighborhood revitalization, and community engagement has helped foster sustainable growth and opportunity across the region.
Otis Brumby, III, Publisher, Marietta Daily Journal & Times-Journal, Inc.
As Publisher of the Marietta Daily Journal and Times-Journal, Inc., Otis Brumby, III oversees more than 20 newspapers, magazines, and digital platforms across Georgia. A third-generation publisher, he is a strong advocate for independent local journalism and its essential role in a thriving community. Under his leadership, the MDJ continues to elevate civic dialogue and cover issues that shape informed public discourse. Otis brings expertise in media strategy, storytelling, and community engagement, and currently serves on the boards of America’s Newspapers, the Georgia Press Association, and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. He is also past chairman of the Wellstar Board of Trustees and has been recognized by James Magazine as one of Georgia’s Most Influential Georgians.
Sherri Hill, Chief of Staff, Cobb County School District
Sherri Hill brings more than three decades of experience in education to the CCF Board. Her career began in 1993, and she joined the Cobb County School District in 1998, serving in a wide range of leadership roles including teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent, Chief School Leadership Officer, and now Chief of Staff. Sherri offers deep expertise in K–12 education, district administration, and student achievement initiatives, having led efforts in curriculum development, school improvement, student support, and community partnerships that expand opportunity for students across Cobb County.
Stephen Vault, Vice President, Strategic Community Development, Wellstar
Stephen Vault oversees strategic community development and social impact initiatives for Wellstar, focusing on partnerships and programs that improve health outcomes, expand access to care, and strengthen community well-being. With a background in organizational strategy and community engagement, Stephen brings a collaborative, systems-focused approach to addressing complex community challenges. He currently serves on the boards of several professional and nonprofit organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and the Fulton Education Foundation.

As we welcome new leadership, CCF also extends sincere appreciation to Bob Bonstein, Terri Bunten-Guthrie, Sid Jones, Donna Krueger, Larry Stevens, and Julie Teer, who concluded their board service in 2025. Their dedication, guidance, and commitment were instrumental in helping CCF achieve its goals and continue strengthening its impact across the community.
