Braves, Brainstorms & Big Ideas: A Look Back at the 2025 GACF Summit

What happens when 75 community foundation leaders, 9 expert speakers, and one Braves game come together in Atlanta? The 2025 Georgia Community Foundations Summit, that’s what—and it was nothing short of amazing!

Hosted by Cobb Community Foundation on July 21–22, the Summit brought together peers from across the state for two days filled with insight, innovation, and inspiration.

From artificial intelligence to donor storytelling, scholarship strategy to agency fund management, the sessions dove deep into what’s shaping the future of philanthropy and charitable giving in Georgia. Attendees got to explore trends, tools, and real-life case studies designed to elevate the impact of their community foundations back home.

Session favorites? The buzz was big around topics like AI for community foundations, NACHA/ACH payment processes, and public-private partnerships. On-site support and office hours from software provider, Foundant were a hit, and small group working sessions fostered connection, conversation, and idea exchange.

And because it wouldn’t be a Georgia gathering without some fun—dinner at The Battery followed by the Braves vs. Giants game (thank you, Atlanta Braves Foundation!) gave everyone a chance to unwind and bond beyond the boardroom.

We wrapped up with shared takeaways, next steps, and one simple challenge: let’s keep the momentum going.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible—from facilitators to Foundant to every attendee who came ready to learn and contribute. Together, we’re building a stronger, more collaborative network of community foundations across Georgia. From big ideas to ballpark memories, it truly was a “Summit” to remember. Ideas flew, laughs were shared, and we even made it to the ninth inning.
