In Honor of Olivia’s life, her parents have created the Olivia Kate Pugh Strength and Shield Scholarship. The name is derived from Psalm 28:7, a guide to Olivia’s life and a foundation for how she viewed the world.
“She believed she could, so she did.”
Olivia was an athlete on the softball and flag football fields, on the basketball court, and on the track. Whenever possible, she chose 3 as her jersey number. She was president of Beta Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Key Club, Octagon Club, Spark, challenged herself with honors and AP courses, and somehow found time to work at Chick-Fil-A. Her kindness and shining light were contagious to all who were lucky enough to know her.
In honor of her, this scholarship will go to hard-working and highly motivated students who share their light and kindness at Harrison High School. Harrison faculty and coaches will nominate students. There will be at least one $2,333 scholarship annually.
Nominated applicants will receive a link to the application from Harrison’s faculty and coaches between February 1st – March 15th each year.
If you would like to honor Olivia through a contribution to this scholarship, you may do so here.
