Brian Family of Liberty Furniture Industries To Be Honored by City of Hope

Followers of Cobb Community Foundation are well familiar with Liberty Furniture Industries and its founders, the Brian Family. In 2018, Liberty established a $1 million charitable fund a Cobb Community Foundation, a moment that Jason Brian, Liberty CEO, (pictured above) cites as one of his proudest. This fund continues to provide for various local needs and also matches each Liberty employee’s personal charitable contribution up to $5000 each year.

CCF is honored to share that on Sunday, April 23rd, City of Hope, a comprehensive cancer center that has been ranked among the nation’s ‘Best Hospitals’ in cancer and one of the family’s many philanthropic partners, will be presenting the Brians with the organization’s highest humanitarian accolade, The Spirit of Life Award. This award recognizes leaders across the country whose professional work has fundamentally impacted their industry and improved lives throughout their communities. Funds raised from The Spirit of Life Award Dinner will support lifesaving research for cancer and diabetes.

At CCF, we are grateful for Liberty Furniture’s dedication to charitable giving and its community. As one of over thirty Corporate Community Champions, Liberty has supported CCF and helped to fund grants to local charitable organizations since the inception of the Champion program in 2019. Their level of participation gives them a seat at the table with other prominent local businesses for strategic planning sessions designed to address the needs of the local community in the most impactful way.

We are inspired by the Brian Family and their commitment to City of Hope and are pleased to honor their request that we invite you to support City of Hope, as well, by making a donation in the Brian Family’s honor through the Liberty Furniture Industries Charity Fund here at CCF. Congratulations, Brians!
