Welcome 2nd Century Invictus Fund

The leadership behind the 2nd Century Invictus Fund take seriously their mission to support the success of Cobb’s young minority males through the creation of strategic partnerships for innovative, technological, and educational opportunities. The new 2^nd Century Invictus Agency Fund (2CIF) was created by members of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity through Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) to increase the organization’s capacity to fulfill their mission by providing a financial tool to receive and manage tax-free donations and to expand the reach for their message.

Financial independence is a key indicator for success, and the founders have developed programs to provide minority students the tools and finances to strengthen their educational futures. Activities such as the 1911 mentoring program, scholarship awards, Day at the Arts event, and STEM Builders programs are helping their participants to move toward their goals.

2CIF Leaders are especially pleased with the way the new STEM Builders program with Pebblebrook High School has progressed. Their all-male leadership and mentoring program targeted 9^th and 10^th grade students during the 2021-22 school year. They provided regular activities around the practical application of science, technology, engineering, and math in everyday life. To raise their expectations for career goals, they focused on exposing their students to information about STEM majors that are currently in high demand and provided opportunities for college tours at Georgia Tech and Tulane University. They plan to expand the program to Osborne, Campbell, and South Cobb High Schools.

To create their programs and scholarship opportunities, they have various fundraisers during the year. Their 30^th Annual Drive 4 Knowledge Golf Tournament is happening this year at the Eagle Watch Golf Course in Woodstock on Friday, August 27.
