Cobb Board of Commissioners Recognizes Cobb Community Food Fleet

On June 22nd, Cobb’s Board of Commissioners issued a Proclamation recognizing “the Cobb Community Food Fleet and the organizations involved for their services to our communities during the pandemic.”  On May 2th, 2020, the Food Fleet, an initiative of Cobb Community Foundation and Noonday Association of Churches, received its first delivery from the USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program at Truist Park.  Since then, with the help of over 90 organizations that contributed to the management, delivery and distribution of the food boxes, over 159,000 boxes of food weighing 4.2 million pounds and providing over 3.5 million meals were delivered to over 50 locations throughout Cobb.
