Network for Good Progress Check In: Revved Up Kids | March 2022

This year on January 6th Cobb Community Foundation awarded Network for Good Jumpstart Grants to 5 deserving nonprofits serving critical areas of need in Cobb County. The purpose of these grants is to assist these agencies in building capacity through a robust, yearlong program that includes fundraising training, coaching and measurable results. We are checking in on these groups periodically this year to see their progress through the program.

In February, Alli Neal of Revved Up Kids completed a half-day onboarding video call with the Network for Good organization, along with a number of other clients across the country. In this meeting new clients received an overview of the program, a yearlong task outline and access to a portal where all Network for Good activity tools are organized.

From Alli:

“I have already had three meetings with our Network for Good team. One of the first tasks was to upload our database information into the powerful online fundraising tool, and I received guidance from the network technician on completing that. Since I have a good foundation with technology and our database was in good condition, our data upload has gone smoothly.

The next task was to select a coach for the year. We were provided with three options for coaches who fit our profile. Each coach provided a video and background information, which allowed us to understand their qualifications and to get a feel for their style. This made me feel very good about our options and our new coach is a great fit for us.

I have already had two coaching sessions and as a result, we have begun using some new strategies. With Child Abuse Prevention Month coming up in April, we are using tested strategies to assist us in enlarging our supporter base by getting our message out to the right people. We are challenging a few of our key supporters to help us raise $5,000 and we are working to identify several donors who will offer matching gifts for our campaign. Our team of ten key supporters is each committing to raise $500, and even more importantly, they will be sharing the Revved Up Kids mission with their friends, family and colleagues. The successful campaign will help us engage hundreds of new supporters and will raise $10,000 to provide sexual abuse prevention training for economically disadvantaged children and teens.

We didn’t know what to expect when we got started, so we came in with a blank slate. Our coach is really strong, and I feel fortunate to work with him. We have plenty of coaching call access and can share our collateral materials for professional review through the portal. We are getting a good value so far. I am excited to learn more about their system and to see the results of the new April program.”
