This morning, Cobb Community Foundation, with the support of United Way of Metro Atlanta’s Northwest Region and the Cobb Collaborative, presented to the Cobb County Board of Commissioners during their Agenda Work Session.

At the meeting, Shari Martin formally requested that Cobb County allocate $1 million for the purchase and distribution of food by organizations in our community.
Outcome: The Board of Commissioners decided to delay the vote to incorporate a formal process for the allocation of any funding approved. It has been indicated that there will be a Special Called Meeting at which this vote will be held. We will keep you updated with information as it becomes available.
